Most school coaches are never fair; they always seek shortcuts by manipulating the association's rule of the game, manufacturing counterfeit student identities, paying for machineries, just to mention but a few.
When I saw the news on Premium Times Nigeria Website, which read "NUGA Games Suspended Over Technical Hitches", I wasn't surprised because I knew someday it will get to this level.
The NUGA Secretary-General, B. O. Orodele said, “The temporary suspension will enable both the officials of NUGA and the host university to sort out the technical hitches,”
The painful part of the story remains that the spade is not yet called a spade; instead the blame was wholly thrown at the ICT Unit of the Association. Each participating institution deserved a very sound warning and any institution found dubious should be penalized and fined.
With the pronounced suspension at heart, one will quickly ruminate on the effort and resources about to go into waste; not just on the part of the host institution but every participating institutions inclusively.
The President of the NUGA Games sealed the story by saying, “If the problems are not resolved before Monday, we will have no option than to cancel the Games.”
